Free Trial Terms
Scope
These Free Trial Terms (“Terms”) govern your participation in the free trial (“Trial”) of knowis AG, Cloud Solution Workbench (“Service”).
By registering for the Trial, you agree to these Terms.
The Privacy Policy explanis how we process personal data within our Workbench Education Environment, which is only accessible to registered users who have accepted the Trial Terms and Conditions.
1.1 Duration
The Trial is offered free of charge for a period of 30 days starting on the activation date. Access will automatically end unless prior consultation with and approval by knowis.
1.2 Users
knowis will provide a limited quantity of user accounts to access the Service. The quantity of Trial users is limited and defined by knowis AG.
1.3 Scope of Use
The Trial is provided solely for evaluation purposes and any productive use of the Service is prohibited. You may not use the Service in any way that could harm our intellectual property, compromise the Service, or involve unlawful activities.
1.4 Data Handling
You may use our Service to enter your own data for evaluation purposes. You remain the owner of any data you upload. At the end of the Trial, your data will be deleted (but not exported) within 10 days.e take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, but no guarantees are made during the Trial. We don’t recommend to enter any confidential or IP related data.
1.5 Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service remain with knowis AG. The Trial grants only a temporary, limited right to use the Service.
1.6 Support and Service Levels
The Trial is offered “as-is” and “as-available” without any warranties or guaranteed service levels. Limited support may be provided at our discretion.
1.7 Telemetry & Logs
During the Trial, we collect product usage and diagnostics to operate/improve the Service. We use aggregated/anonymized analytics where possible.Liability
The service is provided on a knowis environment. We are not liable for any damages, data loss, or business interruption resulting from your use of the Trial. Liability is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
1.8 Termination
We may terminate the Trial at any time, including for misuse or breach of these Terms. Upon termination or expiry, your access will be disabled.
1.9 Confidentiality
You agree to treat all non-public information about the Service as confidential indefinitely.
1.10 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Germany, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Hamburg, Germany.

1.2 Definitions and the rights of data subject
Our definitions and the rights of data subjects can be found in our Privacy Policy and also apply to the participants of a trial.
1.3 Categories of Personal Data Processed
The Workbench education environment consists of several separate systems that are installed on an OpenShift Cluster. This section will provide you with information about how your data is processed with regard to the Workbench education environment.
We collect personal data in order to provide you with the Workbench education environment. All of the below data must be processed if you wish to use the Workbench education environment. It is not possible for technical reasons for only some of the data to be processed.

This Data will be processed in HubSpot. For more information about HubSpot and how data is processed in HubSpot, please refer to our privacy policy on the HubSpot homepage.
OpenShift cluster:
User name, to be able to store authorization access permissions on Cluster resources
MongoDB
If applicable, the user name of the user who recorded the data set separated in the “creator” characteristic
Datasets that were created by the user
Keycloak
First name
Last name
Email address
User initials
Datasets that were created by the user
Log-in date
Gitlab

1.4 Legal Bases for Processing
Your personal Data is processed on the basis of:
Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR - consent
Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR - performance of a contract/ providing access to the Trial enviroment
Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR - legitimate interesst in secure and stable system operations
1.5 Recipients
Your personal data is not shared with third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.
1.6 Storage periods for personal data
In principle, the provisions on the storage of personal data set out in the privacy policy on our website apply. In addition, the following deletion periods apply:
Deployed instances: 10 days
Gitlab data: 90 days
Mongo-DB data: 90 days
Account (first name, last name, email address, user initials): 90 days
